| dc.description | Outbreaks of H5N1 Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in wild birds and geese were reported in China and presence of the virus in pigs has been reported in Indonesia during the preceeding month. Overall numbers of outbreaks have decreased, a pattern similar to that observed last year. This is an opportunity for all the affected and at risk countries to review contingency plans and be prepared for possible outbreaks that might occur in the forhcoming cooler months. | |
