dc.descriptionThe 11th issue of the newsletter highlights the key accomplishments of the months October, November and December of the year. The edition includes stories on FAO's work to create stronger collaboration on Transboundary Animal Diseases between Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Tajikistan; the 37th World Food Day 2017 celebrations in October 2017, the Dame Safety Workshop in Afghanistan, and FAO's efforts to reduce Greenhouse Gases (GHG) emission through community forestry and sustainable biomass energy system, in Afghanistan. There is a report on a FAO workshop, "From Drones to Phone" and how the use of technology in Agriculture can help to achieve SDGs in order to support the Afghanistan E-Agriculture Strategy development efforts. Finally, there is a summary of a dairy managment capacity development workshop for 60 women farmers held in the provinces of Kabul, Parwan and Logar.
