dc.descriptionA prototype for a high-rise with a structure made entirely of wood, Endless Canopy is a 30-story tower covered in plants to create the illusion of an endless canopy or a vertical forest that stretches from the ground floor to the very top of the tower.</p> This poster is one of a selection of entries from the TREEHOUSING International Wood Design Competition that was run by FAO and DBR | Design Build Research School on the occasion of the XIV World Forestry Congress in Durban, South Africa, in S eptember 2015.The competition challenged architecture students, professional architects and designers to develop innovative and sustainable wood housing and urban building solutions.
