This brochure provides baseline information on Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) technologies being practiced in Benin and presents the status of the country with regard to financing, institutions and policies for promotion of CSA. These are presented with compelling statistics to show contextual issues of economic relevance of agriculture, food security, agricultural production systems, challenges, and the country specific data on the nexus between agriculture and climate change in Benin. On the practical side, the brochure provides options and useful indications for CSA mainstreaming in the country. By supporting the implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation programmes and policies, CSA initiatives will play a key role in the implementation of Benin’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
