dc.descriptionSe realizaron estudios de laboratorio para determinar el ciclo de vida, la fecundidad, longevidad, proporción sexual, tabla de vida y los ácaros depredadores (Phytoseiidae y Tydeidae) del ácaro de dos manchas Tetranychus urticae Koch. Los ácaros fitófagos y depredadores fueron recolectados en campos de pimentón Capsicum annuum L., localizados en Quibor, Estado Lara, Venezuela. Los estudios biológicos se realizaron en hojas aisladas de pimentón. La determinación de los géneros y especies de los ácaros depredadores se hizo mediante la utilización de claves taxonómicas. Laboratory studies on the biological cycle, fecundity, longevity, sex ratio, life table and predator mites (Phytoseiidae and Tydeidae) of the twospotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch, were conducted. Phytophagous and predator mites were collected in sweet pepper fields, Capsicum annuum L., located in Quibor, Estado Lara, Venezuela. Biological studies were conducted using detached sweet pepper leaves. The genera and species of predator mites were determined using taxonomical keys.
