Descripción

The experiment was carried out on a compacted Red Ferralític soil from December 2000 to March 2001, in the experimental area of Agronomy Faculty from the Agrarian University of Havana (UNAH), located in San José de las La- jas, Havana province, with the objective of evaluating the effect of various doses of soil worm humus on yield, its components and plenty of main insect pests in CC-25-9N bean crop variety. Treatments were: a control group, 4, 6 and 8 t.ha -1 of soil worm humus made up with residuals of Leucaena leucocephala . The experimental design was a block selected at random with four repetitions and four treatments. Samplings to evaluate the populations of main insect pests were weekly carried out starting 15 days after seeds germinated. To compare populational behavior of the main insect pests detected, a Variance Analysis with bifactorial arrangement was used and data were transformed according to the expression , whereas the aspects related to yield, a Simple Classification Variance Analysis was employed and data were transformed according to the expression and means were compared through Tukey. The main results demonstrated that the highest yields were achieved with the dosis of 8 t.ha -1 , coinciding with the lowest insect population.
