Resumen
Descripción
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and climate change share structural drivers such as land-use change and intensive agricultural practices. These factors, linked to pollution from pharmaceutical and fecal waste, create selective pressures that disrupt essential microbial ecosystems. Reframing AMR as an environmental governance issue within the triple planetary crisis enables the coordination of synergistic actions that benefit both public health and the planet. In this regard, nature-based solutions offer a comprehensive approach to restoring ecological processes and mitigating health risks. By integrating science and policy, these strategies promote a just and sustainable transition that strengthens community resilience against interconnected global threats.
