Descripción
March 2026 in Afghanistan is expected to be warmer than normal, with mean temperatures around 1.5–5 °C above average and localized frost risk persisting in high-elevation areas. Precipitation should be wetter than normal in eastern and parts of central provinces but near to slightly below average elsewhere, with most rainfall concentrated in late March. Rainfed crops remain generally stable yet vulnerable to March rainfall performance, while below-average snow water equivalent and faster snowmelt are likely to reduce snowmelt-driven river flows for the main irrigation season.
