dc.descriptionOn the basis of the analysis on the status quo of land for rural settlements in Makit County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, we estimate its potential for consolidation, and put forth the following recommendations: establishing a unified land market in urban and rural areas in the process of promoting new urbanization; achieving the goal of market allocation of rural construction land; dispelling the urbanization at the expense of the interests of agriculture, countryside and farmers.
