Hotels can consume great quantities of energy and water to provide comfort and luxury, while keeping things fresh and clean on a daily basis for new arrivals. In order to minimize the environmental impact of your accommodation, FAO has decided to evaluate the environmental performance of some of the hotels nearby its Headquarters. Specifically, all hotels part of the international Rome-based Agencies (FAO, WFP, IFAD)’s Preferred-Hotel-Program have been surveyed. The respondents have been ranked depending on possible 51 environmentally-friendly initiatives. For more info, please contact the Corporate Environmental Responsibility team of the FAO Infrastructure and Facilities Management unit.
