This document compiles the reports of two IICA meetings: the First Regular Meeting of the Executive Committee, presented in Part 1 (pages 1-73), and the First Regular Meeting of the Inter-American Board of Agriculture, included in Part 2 (pages 74-422). Each section is independently structured and includes the list of participants, the agenda, proceedings, and minutes. The document also contains the resolutions adopted, as well as the draft resolutions and other working documents considered during the meetings.
The meeting was held in June 1981 in San José, Costa Rica, for the purpose of conducting the first regular session of the IICA Executive Committee. The session focused on reviewing institutional management, defining programmatic guidelines, and preparing decisions for the Inter-American Board of Agriculture. Key topics addressed included the 1982-1983 program-budget, financial reports, evaluation of programs and projects, institutional regulations, the status of CATIE, and technical cooperation, with the participation of Member State delegations, observers, and Institute authorities. Agreements were reached to approve the program of work and budget, establish Member State quotas, promote institutional evaluations, strengthen regulatory mechanisms, support CATIE’s financing, and submit draft resolutions to the Board for its consideration.
