This technology describes utilizing rooftopwater harvesting facilities to increase theavailability of water for domestic use andirrigation of backyard cabbage gardens. This measure allows small-scale farmers toharvest rainwater from roofs and store it intanks, ensuring cabbage production evenduring the dry season. The combination of rainwater harvestingwith other good practices (e.g. mulching, manuring) help increase productivitywhile reducing soil erosion, eventuallystrengthening the resilience of farmers to theimpact of dry spells.
