| dc.description | Land cover data is fundamental to food security. Land cover information is required to monitor food security indicators, and provide information on access to water, cropping intensities and many others. Land cover for eastern Bhutan (2022) was obtained by training a machine learning model and classifying (Planet & Sentinel–1) imageries in GEE. The legend for Bhutan was obtained from ICIMOD (2010). The main aim of the GEF–8 project is to transform rice fields to improve the region’s food security. | |
