dc.descriptionThis pesticide residue training manual was developed to introduce trainees to the procedures and practices of residue evaluation in JMPR. It was first prepared for a training workshop in Budapest in November 2010. It has now been edited and compiled into a single document. The first part (Chapters 1 to 13) covers the relevant topics. They are illustrated by many examples taken from JMPR Reports and Evaluations. The Exercises provide the introduction and background suitable for practi cal exercises by small teams at a training workshop. The Presentations are PowerPoint versions of lecture topics for the training workshop. Because pesticide evaluation has developed its own terminology where many acronyms and abbreviations have their own special meaning, at the end of each chapter is a list of those used in the chapter as an encouragement for workshop trainees to become familiar with them.
