This newsletter presents an overview of FAO’s key interventions in Libya, showcasing strengthened partnerships with national authorities and the implementation of major initiatives aimed at improving food security, agricultural resilience, and sustainable natural resource management. It highlights high‑level missions, new project agreements, and technical workshops covering areas such as climate‑water‑energy‑food governance, agricultural statistics, desert locust control, laboratory quality systems, fisheries management, and farmer field schools. Several capacity‑building activities, South‑South cooperation exchanges with Italy and Tunisia, and national consultations on water productivity and sludge valorization illustrate FAO’s ongoing commitment to supporting Libya’s institutions, modernizing agrifood systems, and promoting sustainable development across the country.
