The aim of this study was to investigate farmers’ opinion on usefulness of information relating to
constitution and operation of producer groups obtained during trainings and the level of knowledge of
counselors employed in the agricultural advisory centers in this regard. The presented surveys were conducted
in 2009 among 307 members of agricultural producer groups from the kujawsko-pomorskie and dolnośląskie
provinces. The studies have shown that respondents highly valued counselors’ knowledge and the information
obtained from them have helped the farmers in taking decision to join the agricultural producer groups.
