Land degradation in the Boucle du Mouhoun region has accelerated in recent decades, with clear repercussions on agricultural productivity. The development of agrosilvipastoral activities is also hampered by land insecurity, poor water management and use practices, difficulties accessing land, especially for women and youth, the poor quality of inputs (seeds and chemical fertilizers), and the lack of processing facilities for agricultural products. The project aimed to strengthen the adoption of good practices for climate change adaptation and mitigation in the agrosilvipastoral sector, while supporting good environmental governance and sustainable land management in the Boucle du Mouhoun region.
