| dc.description | Anticipatory Action can play a critical role in disaster prevention efforts and in addressing the root causes of vulnerability to build resilience and help curb and reverse current food insecurity trends. In November 2022, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the Global Network against Food Crises (GNAFC) gathered to advance discussions and agreements on the principles and criteria of four topics identified as key for scaling up Anticipatory Action in food crises contexts. This outcome document reflects the conclusions reached at the 2022 Anticipating Food Crises workshop and is intended to support the work of policymakers and practitioners in Anticipatory Action, ensuring that theory is put into practice to support those who need it most. | |
