Descripción
This analysis examines the case studies of Community Forest Concessions (CFCs) in the Maya Biosphere Reserve in Guatemala and Community Markets for Conservation (COMACO) in Zambia. Its objective is to understand how different institutional frameworks and intervention approaches can effectively promote equitable access to natural resources.Through the comparison of these experiences, the analysis aims to identify critical success factors in the implementation of initiatives that combine conservation and development, draw lessons on effective models of governance and community-based natural resource management, and provide recommendations for the design and implementation of similar policies in other contexts.
