This TCP project was part of a United Nations Joint Programme ( project entitled “Technical Support to the Implementation of the Food Africa (SDG Fund Supported Joint) project”project”(UNJP/ 067 / Under this UNJP project, UN agencies and the private sector partnered to make use of the Build, Operate and Transfer ( model to support the establishment of a food processing facility to mitigate food loss in Kaduna State Significant losses on the vegetable value chain were a common occurrence in the area, particularly at the post harvest stage Aside from being an obvious waste of food, these losses also represented a similar waste of scarce resources, such as water, as well as human efforts, farm inputs, livelihoods, investments.
