| dc.description | The publication aims at presenting the actual status of the land cover classification system of the AFRICOVER project, as adopted by the international working group on "Land cover legend and classification". The first part is composed of a technical document describing the main concepts and justifications of the basic classification system, as well as a presentation of main definition used. The second part is the proceeding of the seminar of Saly, Senegal. The third part is a presentation throug h a series of color plates of the architecture of the classification system, revised after the recommendations of the Saly seminar. | |
