dc.descriptionEl presente estudio tuvo como objetivo caracterizar la riqueza, diversidad, composición y estructura de los bosques secundarios por ser la cobertura dominante que conforma el paisaje fragmentado, y determinar cuales son los aportes actuales y potenciales de estos en la conectividad física en el sector sur del Corredor Biológico del Atlántico nicaragüense. Los resultados de la caracterización de la vegetación mostraron que existen cuatro tipos de bosques secundarios. Este estudio constituye un escenario preliminar, que de alguna manera contribuye con el desarrollo de instrumentos y criterios ecológicos para la toma de decisiones por parte de los planificadores y tomadores de decisiones en el sector sur del Corredor Biológico del Atlántico de Nicaragua. The objective of this study was to characterize the richness, diversity, composition and structure of secondary forests that are the dominant cover in the fragmented landscape and to determine the actual and potential contribution of these secondary forests to the physical connectivity of the southern sector of the Atlantic Biological Corridor of Nicaragua. The characterization of the vegetation showed that there are four types of secondary forest. This study constitutes a preliminary scenario that contributes to the development of ecological tools and criteria for decision-making by those actors in charge of planning and decision making in the South sector of the Atlantic Biological Corridor in Nicaragua.
