As a party to the Paris Agreement, Cambodia is required to submit reports to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) under the Agreement’s Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF), with specific reporting on emissions and sinks in the agriculture, forestry and other land use (AFOLU) sectors. To do so, the country required technical assistance to bridge technical and financial gaps that inhibit the production of reports and communications of this nature. This project was designed to address these gaps within the AFOLU sectors by supporting enhanced transparency and accountability in the implementation and monitoring of Cambodia’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) to allow the country to meet its reporting obligations under the ETF of the Paris Agreement.
