FAO Global Internship, Volunteers and Fellows Programmes- Update is aimed at giving information on the activities of the newly relaunched FAO Global Internship, Volunteers and Fellows Programmes and the achivements it has had during the year 2017. This will include new partnerships with different stakeholders from academia and the civil society that will further strenghthen the programme and create new opportunities for individuals to participate in FAO activities and as such contribute to FAO's strategic objectives and the SDG's as they build their capacities and skill set. This update will also provide information on how the interns, volunteers and fellows can contribute to different departments, at FAO both in Headquarters and decentralized offices, and the skills they bring with them. Another highlight in this update is the Indigenous internship programme which is a first for FAO and keeping in line with FAO's commitment to the SDGs and to leaving no-one behind, this pilot programme will include indigenous youth who are among the poorest and most vulnerable people.
