dc.descriptionFollowing years of negotiations, Nepal was offered WTO Membership in September 2003 during the fourth WTO Ministerial at Cancun, Mexico. She be-came 147th Member of the WTO on 23 April 2004 after ratifying the Membership. The WTO Agreements cover a wide range of areas in the sphere of economic pol-icy and a host of topics, ranging from trade in goods and in services to intellectual property rights. The Membership is viewed as a source of opportunities and chal-lenges.
