Descripción
The project contributed to meaningful improvements in the management of HWC in the Mkomazi Landscape, supporting sustainable natural resource management, climate resilience, food security and livelihoods of affected communities. By strengthening institutional capacities, improving coordination among stakeholders, and enhancing community knowledge and practices, it promoted more effective and evidence-based approaches to HWC management. The introduction of innovative non-lethal interventions and promotion of sustainable crop practices enhanced community resilience, reduced crop losses and supported biodiversity conservation, advancing both sustainable livelihoods and peaceful coexistence with wildlife.
