The project primarily addressed governance needs by providing policy documents and guides, which are standard instruments for developing and governing governmental portfolios. The project was successful as a result of insights into new approaches, lessons learned from other countries, and an openness to sharing knowledge and building local capacity.The National Agriculture and Food Policy and the National Seed Policy were drafted and handed over to the MAFSE for review and ratification. The National Food and Agriculture Policy offers a clear framework to guide decision-making and ensure consistency in actions. It outlines MAFSE’s vision and direction for the development of a sustainable and prosperous sector that is transparent, resilient and innovative.
