This document is the report of the sixteenth session of the Committee for Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture of Africa (CIFAA), which was held in Maputo, Mozambique, from 16 to 18 November 2010. The major topics discussed were: intersessional activities; practical regional concerns involving the development and distribution of improved aquaculture seed; climate change effects and adoption of strategies for Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture in Africa; and proposals for the major topics for discussio n at the seventeenth session of CIFAA.
