| dc.description | The module describes the role of Competent Authorities responsible for food safety and managing control systems. It describes the hierarchical levels of the food control system. To coordinate and manage inspections, Competent Authorities should review and adjust national and inspection unit plans regularly and coordinate with the different parts of the system, in line with clear overarching principles. Contingency plans should be put in place in case of major disruptions such as natural disasters or food outbreaks. | |
