The South West Indian Ocean Fisheries Commission and Nairobi Convention Partnership project news serves as an informative platform to share the Organization’s work and results with a broad global audience, including development practitioners, academics, media, and the general public. It aims to raise awareness of FAO’s contribution in promoting regional capacity development, coordination and collaboration for sustainable coastal, marine and fisheries governance at national level, with the potential to upscale to the wider Western Indian Ocean region and the four betters — better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life for all.
