The world committed to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger by 2030, bringing it back to a sustainable path. Climate change threatens to reverse the progress we have made so far in the ght against hunger and poverty. If not harnessed, it could imperil the capacity of food systems to insure global food security. Climate change is undermining the livelihoods and food security of the rural poor.
