These guidelines interpret and incorp orate scie ntific findings in to practical guidance. The studies themselves can be found in the suppor ting documentation. There is no intention or desire to strictly codify practice into narro w limits, a futile pursuit, in any case, given the diversity of practice and the essential va riety and good quality of the product of these practices. These guidelines are not intended for the dir ect us e of every stakeholder, rather they ai m to provide concer ned au thorities with the ba sis for developing national guidelines or codes of practice specifically tuned to their respecti ve sector.
