| dc.description | Comparisons are made on fertility of dairy cattle before and after the introduction in 1957 of artificial insemination Fertility was good in Criollo cattle under natural conditions, until there was a drop due to the presence of Trichomonas foetus infection. The total elimina-tion of natural service and the introduction of young. disease-free bulls, has been found to be an effective weapon against Trichomonas in tropical conditions Jersey and Criollo herds recuperated faster than those with Shindi Zebu blood. | |
