The SilvaGRIS User Manual is a practical reference document prepared by FAO to support the use of the Global Information System on Forest Genetic Resources (SilvaGRIS). It is intended for National Focal Points, their alternates and other designated experts responsible for reporting data on forest genetic resources, while also serving as a useful guide for stakeholders and the public wishing to explore the information available through the platform. The manual explains the purpose of SilvaGRIS in supporting the monitoring of the implementation of the Global Plan of Action for the Conservation, Sustainable Use and Development of Forest Genetic Resources and in contributing to global assessments and evidence-based decision-making at national, regional and global levels.
