Using integrated ecosystem assessments across 10 communities, supported by spatial and scenario modeling, combined with participatory conflict-sensitive analysis in the two districts, the initiative identified Nature-based Solutions that restore livelihoods without exacerbating tensions. The results directly inform WFP programs, expected to reach ~7,000 households, thereby demonstrating how environmental restoration can advance social stability, resilience, and humanitarian recovery in climate- and conflict-affected contexts.application/pdfOpen Accessagroforestryecosystem servicesland uselivelihoodsnature-based solutionsmangrovesnatural resources managementenvironmental restorationwater resourcesconflict resolutionWFP programs integrate conflict-sensitive nature-based solutions to support 7,000 households in Northern MozambiqueCase Study
