During this period, the focus was on three main areas: <ul><li>addressing work-related concerns brought forward by individuals or groups of personnel; <li>analyzing the root causes of conflict to identify systemic issues for positive organizational change; and <li>raising awareness about the Office and the benefits of collaborative approaches to conflict resolution. </ul></li> The role of the Ombuds is to support a culture at FAO that is respectful and civil, and in which mutual understanding can be reached and differences resolved, through dialogue and fair processes.
