This report explores the intersection of gender equality, climate change and agriculture in the lives of smallholder farmers and the important role that gender-responsive climate-smart agriculture plays in achieving food security and building inclusive and resilient agrifood systems. It calls for initiatives that identify gender-specific needs in natural resource management, including both practical needs for daily living and strategic needs for building long-term resilience (such as equitable access to vital resources and participation in decision-making) in different dimensions of their lives.135 p.application/pdfFAOCC BY 4.0Gender equality and climate changeA synthesis of knowledge in agrifood systemsBooklet
