The objective of this study is to identify factors that contribute to higher farm management returns in Kentucky. Fixed-effects regression and quantile regression reveal that farm size, greater assets, percentage of cash-rented acreage have a positive influence on the management returns. Higher soil productivity ratios, government payments, and liabilities have a negative effect on the management returns. In general, hog and dairy farms yield greater returns to management compared to grain farms. Business orientation positively affects only the returns of high-returns farms.Factors contributing to farm management returns in KentuckyText
